The purpose of the Saliman Road Walking Path Beautification Project was to clean-up the landscape along the popular dog-friendly walking path on Saliman Road between Sonoma and Kingsley Streets. The project also included a fund-raising effort to add sitting benches for local citizens to better access and enjoy the path. The project was a collaborative effort involving a volunteer citizens’ clean-up group, the Parks & Recreation Department, and the Foundation for Carson City Parks & Recreation.

The one-day clean-up effort took place on March 17, 2022. Funds were subsequently raised through the Foundation to purchase one park bench for the quarter-mile long walking path.
