In 2018, the Community Center’s Bob Boldrick Theater underwent a complete remodel that included new seating, carpeting, and painting. To compliment the theater improvements, community members undertook a major fund-raising effort to also upgrade the theater lobby to create a more welcoming environment for the newly-renovated theater.

As a result of those efforts, $20,200 was raised and donated to the Foundation for Carson City Parks & Recreation to fund the lobby upgrades. The upgrades included new lighting, audio system, curtains, and signage.
